This is where I can post specific instructions for homework.
I can include links to online material that they can read. Most often it will probably just be a description of the assignment. I can also have notes/worksheets/other handouts available in the file section, perhaps with a link to it here.

Main Purpose of Blog Entries
This is where I'll post general announcements (for everyone) and assignments and announcements for my chemistry class and for my physics class.
I'll be abel to make notes for just chemistry or just physics students to remind them of upcoming tests or due dates, or to announce that certain files have been uploaded to the files section.
Students can click on the category of posts they wish to view (chem, phys or announcments), so physics students don't have to wade through chemistry posts & vice versa.
